General Contractor Responsibilities:
- Helps project owners select a site or evaluate a current site
- Examines construction contract terms and sets an appropriate bid amount to present to the project owner
- Communicates with the project architect during the construction phase
- Coordinates and obtains necessary approvals and permits
- Hires reliable sub-contractors that specialize in their field
- Ensures work is completed in accordance to building code
